Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, sustainable development, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. The FAIRTRADE Mark is an independent consumer label licensed by the Fairtrade Foundation, that guarantees that the producers get a better deal. Producers in the developing world can enter the international trading market and generate the income that they need to feed their families, send their children to school and invest in a sustainable future.
All products carrying the FAIRTRADE Mark meet international Fairtrade standards which include social, environmental and economic criteria. So when you choose to buy a Fairtrade product they you not only get a high quality item but also know that the producer has been treated fairly and that you are supporting sustainable development.
